Combined Heat & Power

There is a wide range of applications where the installation of CHP systems is a great advantage from an energy efficiency point of view. From industrial processes, such textiles, ceramics, food or laundry, to applications in commercial buildings or hospitals with high heat demands, the CHP provides flexibility in terms of energy production. CHP systems are available for different gas qualities such as natural gas or biogas when installed in WWTP plants or landfill facilities.
Waste to Energy
Guascor Energy maintains its commitment to the environment in the design of applications using fuels obtained from processes such as water treatment, waste, biomethanization or gasification processes.
Among the Waste to Energy applications where the reciprocating engine is used, one of the most common is in waste water sewage treatment plants. The power and heat produced by the CHP system is used in the water treatment plant process when producing the biogas which is then burned in the engines to produce energy.
Power generation using landfill gases from landfill gas collection systems installed in garbage dumps is another of the applications in which Guascor gas engines have shown great flexibility and performance. Due to the great fuel flexibility, Guascor Energy Engines are available for running with different gases such as syngas, pyrolysis gas or gas produced by biomethanization processes.
Due to its vast experience working in the worst environmental conditions, Guascor Energy engines are also used as mechanical drivers for rotating equipment, such as those located in oil wells.
The reciprocating engine fuelled normally by well gas, treated to avoid contaminants which could reduce the engine life, drives the well’s water injection pumps. The pressurised water pushes the oil from the bottom of the well towards the outside, keeping not only the production rate but also the pressure of the well at constant levels.
Guascor Engines are also highly appreciated in water pumping for irrigated fields. The engine drives the irrigation water pump to provide water to the cultivated fields. Due to their great performance, efficiency and low emissions level, they provide the best clean, efficient and reliable solution for this type of application.

Guascor Energy marine engines have been designed and manufactured to work in the most adverse conditions with minimum fuel consumption. Guascor offers a complete range of propulsion and auxiliary engines powered by diesel combined with reduction gearboxes to meet the demand of any type of boat: fishing vessels, tug boats, bulk carriers, trawlers, workboats or dredges.
Marine engines are also available for on board auxiliary purposes and power generation. When working as a power generation set, there are two options available: engine powered by diesel or by gas. The gas marine set is valid for generation purposes not only on board—electric propulsion or power generation—but also as a deck genset providing energy to any boat docked in port.
