The excellent quality, efficiency and reliability of Guascor Energy engines have been verified in marine and industrial applications for more than 50 years and more than 3.000 actively running engines & gen-sets worldwide by the end of 2022.
At Guascor Energy, 300 professionals and +50 distributors design, manufacture & support customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their projects & products as trusted partners.

History
In 1966, the Biscayan businessman José María Gutiérrez Ascunce founded Guascor with the aim of providing to the industry and marine sectors with reliable and efficient engines.
Since then, Guascor Energy has become a global manufacturer of gas and diesel engines designed for power generation, cogeneration, waste conversion and marine use leveraging its own proprietary technology developed in its corporate R&D facilities in Vitoria.
During the 2010 decade, Guascor Energy has been part of two global groups, Dresser-Rand Group and Siemens. Since 2022 the company is owned by Mutares and continues innovating in the sector as an independent company again.
Innovation
Guascor Energy, in the constant search for the latest technologies applicable to reciprocating engines, created a state-of-the-art R&D center in 1996. The center is devoted to a constant innovation and improvement of our products and related applications.
Located in Alava, the R&D center is unique in Spain and considered as one of the most advanced in the world.
Our R&D facility covers all the steps across the engine development life, including among others, conceptual design, modelling and simulation, detail design and engine operation adjustments.
Our center includes a full-fledged training center, several test benches as well as fuel and instrumentation & control facilities.
Quality
Guascor Energy Engines are known in the market for its robustness and reliability. The quality of our products is the result of an obsession with the highest standards across the engine value chain: starting with the design phase and prototyping, all the way through to procurement, assembly and commissioning.
All of our engines are factory tested using a rigorous, industry leading protocol, and we can also accommodate ad-hoc customer testing requirements on a case-by-case basis.
