This is how can we turn waste into valuable energy in the palm oil industry
At the Kapilit Palm Oil Mill in Sabah, Malaysia, operated by Sabah Softwoods Berhad, biogas generated from Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) treatment is now being transformed into reliable renewable electricity thanks to a Guascor Energy G-56SL biogas power generation unit.
Working together with our Malaysian distributor, Kreativ Recovery Sdn Bhd at Guascor Energy we supplied a fully containerized 954 kW solution designed to convert biogas into clean power for on-site consumption. The project helps the facility improve energy independence, reduce operating costs through electricity and diesel fuel replacement, and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
A key advantage of the project is the proven reliability of the G-56SL platform, featuring low operating costs and major overhaul intervals of up to 90,000 operating hours, ensuring maximum availability and long-term performance in demanding industrial environments.
Dive into the graphic to discover how waste-to-energy technologies can support more sustainable palm oil production by capturing methane emissions and transforming them into a valuable source of renewable energy.
