Guascor Energy secures the largest sale in its 60-year history with 208 gensets for a new thermoelectric plant in Brazil

We have reached a historic milestone in Brazil with the signing of a contract with Mercurio Partner for the supply of 208 gensets, marking the largest sale in the company’s 60-year history.

The units will power a new 250 MW natural gas thermoelectric plant, scheduled to begin construction in the second half of 2026. Once operational, the facility will significantly strengthen Brazil’s energy security and support the country’s growing demand for reliable and efficient power generation.
