Guascor Energy technology sets sail with the Mercedes Pinto fast ferry

Launching a new vessel is always a milestone — and this one carries a clear Guascor Energy signature. Earlier in May, sea trials began in Gijón for the Mercedes Pinto, the innovative fast ferry soon to join the Balearia fleet.

The vessel is equipped with two Guascor Energy G‑24SL gas generator sets (430 kVA, 50 Hz), delivering power to all onboard services, including port maneuvers. These units form part of an integrated propulsion and generation system engineered for efficiency, reliability, and lower emissions.

To reinforce auxiliary operations, we also supplied two SF240TA‑SG diesel units, ensuring consistent performance across all operating conditions.
