Success commissioning of a G-42HM Natural Gas cogeneration module in Italy

During the final weeks of 2025, the first real commissioning tests of the Guascor Energy G-42HM Natural Gas cogeneration module were successfully carried out by our Italian distributor, Italmotori Srl, in a district heating project in Dogliani (CN) in the region of Piamonte.

This project stands out for its highly innovative design and remarkable energy efficiency. The installation integrates:

– A state-of-the-art 1 MWe high efficiency gas engine generator
– Exhaust gas heat recovery systems
– Upgraded complementary boilers
– Hybridization with solar thermal panels and heat pumps recovering thermal energy at low temperature (LT circuit)

All of this is combined to supply heating to public and private buildings across the city. Thanks to the outstanding overall efficiency achieved, the system is expected to save up to 1,200 tons of CO₂ per year, marking a significant milestone for the region and a powerful example of real-world energy transition.
